Three perspectives on technology support in inquiry learning: personal inquiry, mobile collaboratories and emerging learning objects
Our hands-on workshop convenes educational designers and learning technology architects to author inquiry learning activities and user experiences. Participants will use a scenario editor to design classroom and field activities based on pedagogical approaches such as personal inquiry. Designs will be implemented using modeling tools, mobile devices and inquiry management tools provided by the ...

Reference 1] Tomm a s Werner, Roger David Hersch, and VV aclav Hlavv a c. Rendering real-world objects using view interpolation. Abstract: This paper presents a new approach to rendering arbitrary views of real-world 3-D objects of complex shapes. We propose to represent an object by a sparse set of corresponding 2-D views, and to construct any other view as a combination of these reference vie...
متن کاملUsing Data Mining Techniques for Inquiry Learning
Data mining has wide and diverse applications. In this paper we attempt to examine data mining from an educational perspective. Inquiry learning is an educational approach most commonly used by educational practitioners. Based on technologies of knowledge discovery from data mining, we present a practical approach of an inquiry learning model that aids efficient learning. The approach may be us...
متن کاملSimple Nested Dielectrics in Ray Traced Images
This paper presents a simple method for modeling and rendering refractive objects that are nested within each other. The technique allows the use of simpler scene geometry and can even improve rendering time in some images. The algorithm can be easily added into an existing ray tracer and makes no assumptions about the drawing primitives that have been implemented.
متن کاملRendering Real-World Objects Using View Interpolation
This paper presents a new approach to rendering arbitrary views of real-world 3-D objects of complex shapes. We propose to represent an object by a sparse set of corresponding .2-D views, and to construct any other view as a combination of these reference views. We show that this combination can be linear, assuming proximity of the views, and we suggest how the visibility of constructed points ...
